2.Are your language classes available anywhere else other than your centre?
There are 36 locations in total: SS2, Kota Damansara, Damansara Jaya, Ara Damansara, Bandar Sri Damansara, USJ 21 Subang, Brickfields, Ampang, KL City, Setia Alam, Bukit Jalil, Aman Suria,Sri Petaling, Mont’ Kiara, Old Klang Road, Bandar Sunway, Mahkota Cheras, Taman Maluri (Cheras), Taman Connaught (Cheras), Wangsa Maju, Klang, Seri Kembangan, Kepong, Puchong, Seremban, Mentakab, Jerantut, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Butterworth, Sibu, UTAR Sg Long, Xiamen University(Malaysia Campus), Taylor University, Sunway University and Sydney (Australia).
3.How many types of courses are available?
There are 4?types: Private tuition (One–to–One), Directed self–study,?Direct Teaching Method by Native Korean and Direct Teaching Method by Local Tutor.
Private tuition (One–to–One) :One-to-one OR two to three students in a group and it is customized by students themselves. Students’ learning levels will be at their own pace.
Directed- Self Study Method?(DSS): Students will learn at their own pace. This group is to cater for students who have different learning progress. Fast learners are able to progress faster and slow learners can learn without following other students’ learning level/progress. Due to the different students’ levels, contents may vary individually. With the ongoing guidance of our instructors, each student will set attainable goals and learn at individual’s own pace.?? Each learner moves based on her/his own learning progress? and ?ability. Self-directed learners develop confidence in and cognition of their skills, as well as a passion for and personal responsibility to lifelong learning. DSS classes are combination of Korean learning and TOPIK preparation, which helps to provide both learning and testing of the language. DSS classes are suitable for those who would like to learn Korean grammars systematically, be able to write essay, sit for TOPIK exam, translating etc. Medium languages such as English, Malay or Chinese will be used to guide students to understand the syllabus better.
Direct Teaching Method by Native Korean?(DTMK): Native tutors will guide learners to practice 4 basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) during class. All learners are using same teaching materials and will move at the same progress. DTMK refrains from using medium language such as English, Malay or Chinese, and mainly focuses on using Korean language to conduct class. This helps learners to develop a sense of language. DTMK classes are suitable for those who prefer to learn conversational Korean from native Korean tutors.
Direct Teaching Method by Local Tutor(DTML): Local tutors will guide learners to practice 4 basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) during class. Tutors stand in front of the classroom to teach as most of the traditional classroom teaching.All learners are using same teaching materials and will move at the same progress.Medium languages such as English, Malay or Chinese will be used to guide learners to understand syllabus better.This class is suitable for those who prefer to learn simple conversational Korean and simple Korean grammars.
4.What is the difference between our centre compared to other conventional language centres?
Our specialized teaching method, directed self-study, is the MAIN difference as students can learn at their own paces in a group. This teaching method is designed by our centre and our?tutors are trained to handle classes for this teaching method. For the same amount of contents, other conventional language centres may take longer time to complete but students enrolled at our centre are able take a shorter period of time to complete due to their own learning progresses.?Therefore, our directed self–study syllabus is compact but efficient and you can save time and money.
5.What are your fee?
It varies accordingly to different locations and different language courses.?Textbooks and learning materials are included in the fees for all courses. A registration fee of RM50 is charged. The registration fee will be waived if students register online 2 weeks earlier before the intake date.
6.Can I pay the fees in installment or fees must be paid in full?
Fees must be settled before the commencement of the first class. Students must pay the fees in full during registration.
7.Who are the language tutors?
Locals who graduated from university in Korea and have a high Korean language proficiency level as well as native Korean tutors are available. Tutor–in–charge for classes will be arranged according to different locations and their own schedule. All of are tutors are multilingual who are able to speak English. Some of them are able to speak English, Malay and Mandarin.
8.If I have basic knowledge of the language, do I need to start all over again and how is the arrangement to fit me into classes?
No, you do not need to start all over again. As mentioned above, we teach students according to their learning progresses so you will be given a level test during your first class and from the results, our tutors are able to assess your level and provide you with suitable learning materials according to your level.
9.Do I get to keep the materials provided?
Yes, all textbooks and printed learning materials given are included in the fees, therefore you can keep them for your own revision and studying purpose.
10.How frequent are classes conducted?
Averagely, it is 2 hours per week for each class (for a duration of 8 weeks).
For classes conducted at Bandar Sri Damansara and?SS2 centres, we also provide extra type of time schedules which are: 3 hours per week for 10 weeks (3×10=30 hours)
We also provide classes for children : 1.5 hours per week for 8 weeks (1.5×8=12 hours).
If you register for a One–to–One class or have your own customized group, it can be conducted up to twice a week, or even a customized schedule upon request.
12.What are the available days and time for classes?
We have different classes/groups at various days and time (weekdays evening, night; weekends morning, afternoon, evening, night).
Our best advice is to tell us your preferred day/time, and we will check to see if there is available space for that preferred day/time. However, if it is full or unavailable, we will suggest to you other available day/time.
13.Do I need to customize/form my own group of students?
If you have your own group, your group is most welcomed to join. However, at least a minimum of 8 people (including yourself) are needed to form a group. The only exception is that if you request to form a One–to–One or private tuition class.
If you are alone and would like to join our group classes, that is fine as well. Just register and pay and we will fit you into the most suitable group.
14.How many students are there in a group by level class?
We will only commence a group by level class when we have a minimum of 8 students. For SS2 venue, we provide regular classes on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday which you may either enroll according to schedule set by admin or enroll base on your own schedule.
15.How can I contact you?

16.How do I proceed for registration?
Once confirmed the day/time for classes, you may go to our website at www.www.qugarh.icu to fill up the registration form. You can find our bank details from the registration form. Just fill in the form and attach a copy of proof of payment. All details especially the location must be filled up since we have different venues. After that just click SEND. Bank-in cash, internet banking, ATM transfer and cheque deposit are accepted. A registration fee of RM50 will be waived by registering online. Kindly read PAYMENT GUIDELINE carefully before making payment. Registration procedure will be slowed down due to unacceptable payment copy.
17.Can I visit the locations for enquiry and registration?
Interested students may make appointment with us via email, SMS or Whatsapp 5 days before the appointment date. We will arrange the appropriate and available time for you to walk-in for enquiries. The other locations listed are our collaboration venues; therefore you are only able to walk-in for enquiries only when our tutors are there at specific times. Otherwise, you would need to visit our SS2 centre.
Registration is mostly encouraged to be done via online, but you may also visit our SS2 centre for registration and payment. Please take note that a registration fee of RM50 is charged for walk-in registration at our SS2 centre.
18.Can I get full or half refund if I can’t join the class before the intake date or stop my classes mid-way?
No. Full or half refunds will not be given if students are unable to join the class due to personal reasons (study, work, etc.).
However, you may inform us earlier before classes commence for other day/time class arrangements but the delay for joining classes must not be more than 2 months after registration.
Full refund will only be given if we postpone the commencement of the class more than 3 times or cancel the class.
19.Can I replace my missed classes?
Class replacements are only available at our SS2 centre and a maximum of 2 replacement classes are allowed within a signed-up course. You must complete the replacement classes within the course duration; which means you need to inform the tutor earlier before you attend the last class for that signed-up course.
For students who are from other collaboration centre and not able to claim their replacement at SS2 centre, you may inform the respective tutor(s) prior to the missed class so tutor(s) are able to guide you once you resume class. Most of our tutors are teaching base on individual learning pace, thus even you had absent from class, they will be able to guide you from where you stop when you return to class.
20.Do you issue certificates?
Yes, we issue 2 types of certificates to learners. We will issue completion certificate to learners upon completion for group level course but at least 80% attendance is required to receive the certificate. We also issue certificate of achievement to learner who score 95 marks and above in their final test. However, learners are encouraged to sit for Korean Proficiency Test(TOPIK) to get official certificate.
21.What is TOPIK test?
TOPIK test (Test of Proficiency in Korean test – ???????) is the Korean Language?proficiency test administered by the Korea National Institute for International Education (NIIED?– ???????) and is recognized by the Korean government.
Students may take this test for study or work purposes. This test is held twice a year at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Bangi, Malaysia.
We are able to guide students taking this test as our teaching materials are planned accordingly to the TOPIK test syllabus.
22.Is TOPIK test compulsory for every student?
No, it is not compulsory for students at our centre to take the TOPIK test as it is up to students’ to decide. However, we strongly encourage students to take this test in order for their proficiency in Korean language to be assessed and recognized.
23.Can I learn speaking and listening only without writing?
No, students must have very solid foundation on grammar and writing then only they will be able to understand and speak.
